FPL live rank

Your overall rank with the points of right now, provisional bonus and automatic subs included, where it sits against the top 10k, 100k and 1M, and which players are gaining or costing you places. Gameweek 4, recalculated every minute while the matches are on. The bubble map has ownership across all ten million managers.

Why a live rank, when FPL already shows one

The rank in the official app moves in jumps: it is recalculated a few times while the gameweek is on, and provisional bonus only counts once a match is confirmed. For the afternoon that matters, the number you see is a picture from some time ago. This page works it out from the live data every minute, and it shows the part the official number never tells you: which of your players are gaining you places, and which players you do not have are costing you them.

What moves your rank

Points alone do not. A goal from a player half the game owns barely moves anyone, because everyone above and below you scores it too. What moves you is the difference between your share of a player and everyone else's, times his points: captain someone the game owns at 140% effective ownership and his haul is only worth the part above that. That is the number in each bubble.

The top 10k is taken from the overall standings just after the deadline: going into Gameweek 4 it started at 340 points, with 403 for the leader. What those 10,000 teams own and captain is on the Top 10k view of the map.

The questions people ask

How is FPL live rank calculated?
After each deadline every team is public and frozen, so FPLBubbles takes a fixed sample: the entire top 10,000 plus about 3,300 teams spread evenly across the rest of the overall ranking. Every minute it scores all of them with the live points, provisional bonus and automatic substitutions included, and your rank is how many managers that sample says are ahead of your live total, band by band.
Why is my FPL rank not updating?
The official game recalculates overall rank in batches during a gameweek and leaves provisional bonus out until the match is confirmed, so the number in the app lags the matches. A live rank tool fills the gap between those updates with the points as they are scored.
How many points do you need to be in the FPL top 10k in Gameweek 4?
Going into Gameweek 4, the 10,000th manager in the overall ranking had 340 points and the leader had 403, as of 14 September 2026. On the live rank page the threshold moves with the matches.
How accurate is a live FPL rank estimate?
Checked against FPL's own rank on 14 September 2026, across 14 teams from rank 47 to 8 million, the estimate was off by a median of 4.3% and never by more than 8%. It is most precise below the top million and loosest between 100,000 and 1,000,000, so the page shows it rounded, with the likely range.
