Why the official table does not move

The Fantasy Premier League site updates your mini-league only once the gameweek has been checked and closed, which is usually late on Monday. For the two days that actually matter — while the matches are on — the table you can see is the one from last week. This page rebuilds it from the live data instead: every manager's eleven, the points each of their players has scored so far, and the order that comes out of that.

What is already applied

Provisional bonus. FPL only writes bonus points into a player's score once the match is verified, so a live score that ignores it runs short all afternoon. We compute it the way the game does: in each match still in play, the highest BPS gets 3 points, the next 2 and the next 1, and everyone tied at a level gets the same. It can still change while the match is on, because BPS does.

Automatic substitutions. If one of your eleven has finished his match without playing a minute, the first player on your bench who keeps the formation legal comes in — a goalkeeper can only be replaced by the other goalkeeper. Nothing is substituted while a player's match is still going, because he can still come off the bench.

Captain, vice, chips and hits. The armband passes to the vice-captain when the captain does not play, Triple Captain multiplies by three, Bench Boost counts all fifteen and cancels substitutions, and the cost of extra transfers is taken off. A table that forgets the −4 puts the wrong person top.

Where the numbers come from

All of it is the public FPL API. After the deadline every manager's team is public and frozen for the rest of the gameweek, which is what makes this possible without asking anyone to log in. We never see your password and there is nothing to sign up for: your Team ID lives in your own browser.
